How Hypnotherapy Works

Hypnosis releases the super concentrated power of your mind. It is a state of physical and mental relaxation (not sleep) which allows the subconscious mind to be more open to useful suggestions. It is guided concentration using the power of the subconscious.

Hypnosis was recognized as a complimentary healing modality by the British Medical Association (1955), the American Medical Association (1958, there are "definite and proper uses of hypnosis in medical and dental practice"), and the American Psychiatric Association (1961).

Hypnosis is particularly useful in the areas of smoking cessation, weight loss, stress management, phobias, sleep deprivation and self esteem issues such as public speaking and shyness.  It also works well for goal setting, concentration and motivation.

Hypnosis is a scientific, natural, relaxing and proven way for you to allow your subconscious mind to do the job it was intended to do.

There is no surrender of mind or control.  A person who does not want to be hypnotised cannot be hypnotised or induced to do or say anything which violates personal standards of behaviour or integrity.

Hypnosis was accepted by the American Medical Association in 1958 as a viable form of treatment.
